Todd Reubold became director of communications and public affairs for the Institute on the Environment in 2007. He transitioned into this role after serving three years as associate director with the Initiative for Renewable Energy and the Environment. His areas of expertise include communications, marketing, media relations and presentation design, with an emphasis on energy policy/environmental issues and the public's perception thereof.
He also serves as director and founding editor of the Institute's Ensia media platform.
He has also played a central role in developing and implementing the IonE's communications plan—from expanding the scope of events and multimedia efforts to shaping the Ensia platform and national advertising campaigns.
Reubold brings a solid range of professional experience from business, government and nonprofit sectors to the IonE, along with a master's degree in science, technology and environmental policy from the University of Minnesota's Humphrey Institute.
Outside of work, he enjoys traveling with his wife, playing tennis, hiking with his dog, and downhill skiing.
