Organization
The Institute on the Environment brings together a wide variety of members, partners and stakeholders to address today’s most pressing environmental problems.
Administrators:
We provide overall leadership of the Institute, and support the everyday operations of the organization. We offer support to the research teams, and are central to the Institute’s commitment to joint stakeholder engagement. more>>
Institute Fellows:
We represent the unparalleled scope of academic departments and centers at the University of Minnesota. We have made a long-term commitment to the Institute, providing its intellectual leadership. more>>
Associate Fellows:
We join the Institute from across the University of Minnesota and other universities, as well as from government, industry and nonprofit organizations. We participate in research, education and/or outreach activities, moving in and out of formal association with the Institute. more>>
Affiliated Organizations:
We come from both inside and outside the University, and have formally joined with the Institute to pursue research, education and/or outreach activities that further our common missions.
Visiting Scholars:
We come from within the University, other universities, and from government, industry, and nonprofit organizations. We spend up to a year in residence at the Institute, collaborating on existing research projects and helping to develop new projects.
Institute Scholars:
We encompass both post-doctoral scholars and graduate students. We provide support to the Institute’s research faculty and play a key role in facilitating interdisciplinary communication and collaboration.
