Student Advisory Team

The Boreas Leadership Program Student Advisory Team will convene for the first time during the 2012-2013 academic year. Advisory team members will both advise on the strategy and growth of the Boreas program and gain opportunities to develop and practice personal leadership skills. As Boreas grows and improves in the coming months and years, the student advisory team will help shape the direction of the program. As advisory team members, students gain access to a more in-depth cohort experience within Boreas and are expected to have a deeper commitment to the program.

Team Role and Responsibilities

  • Participate in regular team meetings (approximately monthly plus social events)
  • Advise on strategic direction of the program such as format of workshops, guest speakers and program content
  • Promote Boreas programs and opportunities in social network and home college
  • Take part in Boreas program offerings

Requirements for Participation

  • Currently registered University of Minnesota graduate student or post-doctoral fellow
  • Interest in environmental leadership
  • Completed on-line application

Completed applications are due by Friday, September 28.
