Moana McClellan is intrigued by the links between society and environment, which serve as the umbrella under which she guides her research questions. More specifically, she is interested in how forest ecology and forest ecosystem services are affected by human decisions. She spent last year in Costa Rica on a Fulbright Fellowship conducting fieldwork in tropical dry forests and interviewing local landowners.
At IonE, she works with the Global Landscapes Initiative. She loves to make ice cream and bake pies in her free time.
