NorthStar Initiative for Sustainable Enterprise

Supply Chain Management/Ship Yard

Human activities have challenged the limits of ecosystems’ ability to sustain current patterns of use. With the private sector producing more than 60 percent of global gross domestic product and the largest corporations generating over $2 trillion in annual externalities to society in the form of resource depletion, emissions and land use change, we need new and more sustainable corporate models of global production and consumption.

The NorthStar Initiative for Sustainable Enterprise works with scholars and practitioners to improve understanding of sustainability within global production and consumption systems and to develop research and tools to improve the sustainability of these systems.
