Free

2018 Carlson School of Management Energy Conference
3M Auditorium, CSOM, Minneapolis, MN

The Part Time MBA Energy Club is hosting a half-day conference that explores the business angle of the transformative changes taking place in the energy industry today. Speakers and participants include industry stakeholders throughout the business cycle; those involved in academia and technology development, and the private sector and the utility and policy sectors. The event will explore questions in three distinct areas::

  1. Research & Development, Startups, and Financing: Where do startups get financing and develop inroads within the utility industry? What role does UMN research fulfill?
  2. Early Adopters and Developers: When and why do businesses and utilities adopt new technologies? How do developers compete in the market, and where is the market headed?
  3. Scaled Implementation: What does the energy transition look like at scale? How is Minnesota positioned to be a leader in this transition, and what more do we need?

The Conference Program will include an introduction from IonE’s Energy Transition Lab (ETL) Executive Director, Ellen Anderson. Follow the link here to learn more about the Energy Transition Lab.
