Climate Action Simulation
September 23, 2022 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Join us for a Climate Action Simulation, an interactive role-playing exercise of the UN climate change negotiations. Through the simulation, participants get to rapidly assess the impacts of different solutions to climate change—like energy supply subsidies, energy efficiency, or land use changes. You will participate on a team representing a specific interest group, such as developing nations or fossil fuel companies, as we try to negotiate a set of policy initiatives that limit global temperature rise to 1.5 degrees Celsius.
This event was organized by Susanna Gibbons, Director of David S Kidwell Funds Enterprise at the Carlson School of Management and IonE Fellow, and Beth Mercer-Taylor, Co-Director of Sustainability Education at IonE.
As space is limited, registration is required.
Students who are not on a negotiating team should attend as alternates and observers. Registration and more information is available here!
