Brittani R. Orona (Hupa) is a doctoral candidate in Native American Studies with a designated emphasis in Human Rights at the University of California, Davis. Her areas of specialization include Indigenous environmental justice, Tribal Water Rights, Traditional Ecological Knowledge, visual sovereignty, decolonization and the history and politics of California Indians. She is the author of  “Continued Disembodiment: NAGPRA, CALNAGPRA and Recognition,” with Dr. Vanessa Esquivido. Humboldt Journal of Social Relations 1 (42): 50-68.
