This two-part workshop series will introduce graduate and professional students to Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR), participatory approaches to professional work more broadly, and ways these approaches can inform your research and future work.
Session 1: Introduction to Participatory Approaches – Friday, February 5th 2:00-4:00pm
In this interactive workshop, you will be introduced to CBPR as a model participatory approach, learn about the principles of participatory approaches, explore how to think about stakeholder engagement, and engage in activities that apply these ideas to your current research or work.
Session 2: Engaging with Participatory Approaches – Friday, February 12th 3:00-4:00pm
After introducing the fundamental principles of community-engaged work, you will engage with facilitators and peers to reflect and discuss your plans, thoughts, and questions about how to incorporate a participatory approach into your grad school or future work experiences.
**It is preferred you only join Session 2 if you attended Session 1.
