Seminar Talk: Developing integrated geospatial models/tools to better understand and mitigate the impacts of human-environment interactions on the ecosystem.

Join us for a seminar talk by Mir Mustafizur Rahman, PhD, Research Scientist in the Department of Geography at theUniversity of Calgary.  Dr. Rahman, an expert in areas of Remote Sensing, Geography and Environment, and Urban and Regional Planning, will present recent work on cutting edge remote sensing and geospatial tools and techniques, including geospatial technologies for improving urban energy efficiency and the impact of anthropogenic disturbances on peatland greenhouse gas emission.  Dr. Rahman has been actively involved in a variety of multidisciplinary projects related to human footprint monitoring, natural resources management, energy, environment and biodiversity modeling.
