The annual Sustainability Action! Welcome Week open house will occur at the Institute on the Environment on the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities St Paul campus on Friday, August 31. More than 2,500 incoming freshmen students attend this event. Departments, student and community groups practicing sustainability promote their organization to engage new students and sign them up for projects and activities.

Location: Institute on the Environment (IonE) in Learning and Environmental Sciences (LES) building, 1954 Buford Ave., St Paul
When: 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.

The open house is fun, engaging and informational all at the same time. Some examples of previous booths include games, interactive activities and displays of promotional materials. Sustainability Action! is also a great day to network with student, staff and community sustainability leaders who volunteer each year.
