Dead Donkeys Fear No Hyenas is a documentary film that explores the issue of land grabbing through foreign land investments and exposes their impacts on people’s lives in Ethiopia. The film showcases perspectives of investors, bureaucrats, journalists, environmentalists and especially the small farmers who have been forcibly evicted from their ancestral land and have lost their livelihoods. Ethiopia is the “new green gold” in the commercial rush for farmland, but at what cost?
