Systemwide Resources for Faculty, Researchers, and Grad Students: A Conversation

October 25 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Free

As UM faculty and staff return to professional life after a pandemic, and as new faculty join UM, we’d like to create a moment to bring together the diversity of internal funding and research/teaching support opportunities available within the UM system. This Zoom-based, multi-campus conversation will address the internal resources, available system-wide, for new faculty (and midcareer folks who just don’t know what is available).

While many of these resources have websites outlining their offerings, we can improve access to the diverse resources by having a conversation together. Audience members will learn about the mission and strengths of each resource.

For example: Where Global Programs and Strategy Alliance (GPSA) excels in supporting Fulbright applications, for example, and other partnerships with international collaborators, Institute for Advanced Studies (IAS) excels at building collaborations within the system. GPSA and Institute on the Environment (IonE) are both invested in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), but from within very different frameworks.

Q&A will be open discussion for members of the UM community to access the resources they need to succeed as teachers and scholars.

Register here.
