IonE to host Challenge of Science Leadership Workshop

The Challenge of Science Leadership Workshop — a three-day leadership workshop taught by United Kingdom-based The Barefoot Thinking Company — will take place at the Institute on the Environment starting August 30 and running through September 1, 2016.

The course is custom made for scientists, academics and professionals working in the environment and sustainability sectors.

The workshop uses a set of tools and interactive learning experiences focused on creative and strategic thinking, influencing behavior and enabling action. The overall goal is to increase the impact and effectiveness of environmental researchers and practitioners.

The course is best suited for established professionals seeking to enhance their work on solutions to environmental dilemmas while building their network with other sustainability leaders.

Course enrollment is capped at 25 and is on a first-come, first-serve basis. The enrollment fee is $1,350 per person. If interested, please register today via Eventbrite.

A limited number of no-cost are reserved for IonE staff and fellows. If interested in one of these openings, please email Avonna Starck at star0333@umn.edu and include a short description of your research and engagement on environmental issues, an explanation of how you might benefit from the course, and a statement about your current or desired participation in the IonE community. Please limit your responses to one page in total. This information is due on or before August 1, 2016.
