The Statewide Conservation and Preservation Plan was developed by a public/private partnership led by the University of Minnesota’s Institute on the Environment and including the consulting firms of Bonestroo and CR Planning.

The Institute on the Environment is discovering solutions to Earth’s most pressing environmental problems through cutting-edge research, world-class leadership development and innovative collaboration. The Institute brings together a team of more than 35 faculty members from six colleges on the Twin Cities campus, plus the Natural Resources Research Institute on the Duluth campus, to collaborate on the SCPP.
