April has been working at IonE since 2012 after working in finance and grants management in the College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences. She started her career in purchasing and contracts management while serving active duty in the U.S. Air Force. She has a BS in Social Psychology and a Masters in Public Affairs from the Hubert H. Humphrey School of Public Affairs. April’s role at IonE broadly includes management and oversight of the Institute’s financial and administrative processes; she is driven by process, rigor, finding creative solutions, and being part of a collaborative team. In her free time, April enjoys listening to music, reading, watching bad reality TV, gardening (her favorite things to grow are hot peppers!), and soap-making.
