Avonna came to the University after working for multiple legislative sessions with the Minnesota Senate as a legislative assistant. Her role at IonE includes providing support to the director, managing director/COO and director of partnerships & development. She has her undergraduate degree in political science and history from the U of M and a master’s degree in political management and advocacy from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. Her background is in both political and nonprofit campaign management and consulting. In her free time Avonna is a hockey, football and baseball mom to an energetic son. They enjoy traveling, camping and general silliness together.
