Grace Garbini is a rising second-year masters student in Science Technology and Environmental Policy at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs. She is currently working on food security in cities as part of the Sustainable Research Network. She is interested in bridging the gap between science and policy to inform evidence-based policies focusing on agriculture and the food system. She received her B.S. in Horticulture from Penn State and has worked on an array of research projects ranging from GMO chocolate to biomimetic squid silk. Aside from her studies she is a voracious reader, an avid yogi, and can’t get anywhere near the ocean without ending up in it.
