Juliette Lapeyrouse-Cherry

Juliette Lapeyrouse-Cherry is a PhD Candidate in Rhetoric and Scientific and Technical Communication in the Department of Writing Studies. She received a BA in Philosophy from Louisiana State University, then completed a certificate in Secondary Mathematics Education and an MA in English with a concentration in Rhetoric from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Her research falls under the interdisciplinary umbrella of the environmental humanities and focuses on cultures and rhetorics of oil and energy in the Deep South, ecocritical pedagogies, ecocomposition, and online writing instruction. Juliette is a native of the Louisiana Gulf Coast and enjoys cooking and eating spicy food, biking, collecting houseplants, and hanging out with her two cats.
