Kayla Peterson

Kayla (she/her) is a Master of Public Health candidate in the Community Health Promotion program, and received her BA in Environmental Studies and Sociology/Anthropology from St. Olaf College. With experience in public health nonprofits and healthcare IT, she is passionate about bringing together diverse stakeholders to make health equity innovations a reality. Kayla has 8 years of experience with food systems and food insecurity initiatives as a food bank coordinator in Seattle, mobile market coordinator in Phoenix, and Epic project manager in Madison. She applies her passions and experience as a graduate research assistant on the Food Recovery Knowledge Initiatives project. Kayla enjoys playing jazz saxophone, trying out new knitting patterns, and traveling to visit friends and family.
