Lori Sturdevant is a journalist and author who retired in December 2018 after 43 years with the Minneapolis Star Tribune, 26 of which were spent as an editorial writer and weekly columnist. She is now an occasional contributor to the Star Tribune Opinion Exchange section. She is the author, co-author or editor of 11 books, most recently “When Republicans Were Progressive” with David Durenberger, released in 2018. She lives in St. Paul, is married and has three grown children.
