Maura Shramko

As a postdoctoral fellow in adolescent health in the Department of Pediatrics, my research and evaluation work aims to promote well-being among diverse young people in the US and internationally using a positive youth development (PYD) lens. Specifically, I am interested in examining young people’s strengths, relationships, and resources in their families, schools, and communities that promote health, while acknowledging structural inequalities youth face. I have a PhD in Family Studies and Human Development from the University of Arizona, a Master’s degree in Public Policy from the University of Minnesota and a B.A. in American Studies and a Spanish minor from Macalester College.
