Michele Girard is a Master of Development Practice student and an Acara Innovation Fellow. Michele focuses on community economic development and is currently working on a water sustainability project in Haiti. Michele believes that community-driven work should be the future of international development. She is a graduate of the University of Maine and plans to apply her work at the University of Minnesota to continue her education through a doctoral program in international development.
