Shipeng Sun was a postdoctoral associate with the Global Landscapes Initiative from 2012-2014, and is currently an assistant professor in the department of geography at Hunter College-CUNY. He teaches geographic information science/geoinformatics related courses and also develop and apply spatial analysis and modeling techniques to explore our networked world. Shipeng completed his PhD in 2009 at the University of Minnesota’s department of Geography.
