Preparing for the Conference of Parties: UMN Delegation & Climate Generation Panel (A Climate Week Event)

October 28 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Free

The next annual United Nations Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26), will begin in Glasgow, Scotland, on October 31st. The international climate negotiations will be attended by the countries that signed the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), along with delegations from around the world.

Join us for a panel of COP26 delegates from the University of Minnesota (students, staff, and faculty) and MN non-profit Climate Generation: A Will Steger Legacy, moderated by Gabe Chan, Professor of Science, Technology, and Environmental Policy, and Kristen Poppleton, Senior Director of Programs for Climate Generation.

Register here.

The delegates will share their personal climate stories, give us a preview of what to expect in Glasgow, and offer guidance on how to follow the negotiations and plug in to climate action at home.

This Climate Week event is presented by the Humphrey School of Public Affairs in partnership with the Institute on the Environment as part of the Swain Climate Policy Series.
