The Institute for Professional Development (IPD) at the School of Health Professions Long Island University provides training to mental health providers to deliver trauma-informed, culturally responsive services to refugees, displaced persons, immigrants, and communities impacted by loss. IPD fosters collaborative research focused on the psychological impact of war, forced displacement, natural disasters, and loss.
