Join us to learn about the University of Minnesota Water Council, a new, interdisciplinary team bringing together scholars and resources from across the U of M system to tackle the pressing concern of access to clean water for the 21st century. Water Council Executive Committee leaders Jeffrey M. Peterson (Director, U of M Water Resources Center and Professor, Applied Economics) and IonE Affiliate Robert Sterner (Director, Large Lakes Observatory and Professor, Department of Biology) will talk about the Council’s vital roles in cutting across scholarly boundaries to promote strategic water research and education and in finding ways to integrate University research into state and federal policy initiatives as we seek solutions to complex water issues.
