Lara Boudinot (she/her) is a fourth-year student studying fisheries, wildlife, and conservation biology with minors in geology, wildlife care and handling, and environmental sciences, policy, and management. Lara found her love for nature from her community in her rural hometown of La Farge, WI. In high school, Lara was captain of three sports, in NHS, and was class secretary. She discovered her passion for research while on a freshman seminar in Belize. Since then, she has traveled the world doing research in places like Hawaii, Tanzania, and Borneo. She focuses on scientific communication through writing at the Minnesota Daily student newspaper and working with local exhibits on ecological art installations. Lara has also taken leadership roles at the University of Minnesota. She has served as president of the Marine Biology Club, Honors ambassador, and student major representative for fisheries and wildlife. In her free time Lara loves to play on her club softball team, go to Broadway musicals, and cook dishes from every country with her roommates in alphabetical order.
