History
Since 2009, the Institute on the Environment has opened its doors to more than 6,000 incoming University of Minnesota first year and transfer students, who have the opportunity to connect with student groups, community organizations, and University Services working toward sustainable lifestyles, communities, and more. Presented by Sustainability Education and the U’s Office of Sustainability, this one-day open house is part of the University of Minnesota Welcome Week festivities.
Sustainability Action is an opportunity for undergraduates to learn about resources on and off campus related to sustainability. Come join us for trivia and activities, fun prizes, and engaging conversations about research, innovation, and how students can get involved. This event aims to be both educational and fun – and this year will again be zero-waste with the help from UMN’s Recycling Team!
