Heather Hightower takes great joy in shepherding the IonE Postdoctoral Fellowship Program. She oversees onboarding and is instrumental in creating a positive and welcoming culture for postdoctoral fellows, clarifying community values, expectations and vision. Hightower manages the program's comprehensive recruitment and application process, improving workflows to attract the best candidates from a global pool of applicants. She is also responsible for communications with IonE postdocs, both externally and internally, to support team engagement and collaboration. She designs and executes the professional development series, managing all logistics, scheduling and speakers. Prior to IonE, Hightower was immersed in the field of vocal arts as a voice teacher, community voice studio owner and choral conductor, and therefore, loves listening for the upper harmonics in everything at IonE.
