Background & Expertise

Helen Grote (she/her) is an Undergraduate Student Project Assistant at the University of Minnesota, majoring in English and technical writing, and communication in the environmental science track. Grote is passionate about finding new ways to communicate complex and technical information to diverse audiences, while tackling issues specific to the environment and earth sciences. With prior participation in the Institute on the Environment’s Undergraduate Leaders and Sustainability Corps programs, Grote enjoys contributing to and learning more about IonE’s work in advancing environmental initiatives and shaping the next generation of climate leaders. In the future, she hopes to continue to contribute to meaningful work in sustainability and clean energy, and to foster long-lasting connections between people and the environment. In her free time, you can find Grote painting landscapes or planning her next hiking trip.
