Background & Expertise

Katrina Mraz (she/her) is a passionate intersectional environmentalist and community health advocate. She earned her Bachelor of Science in nutrition from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities and is currently pursuing a Master of Professional Studies in integrated behavioral health, working toward becoming a licensed therapist.

As the learning and development program coordinator, Mraz loves collaborating with the L&D team and community organizations to create workshops, events and experiential learning programs that build inclusive, interdisciplinary skills.

At her core, Mraz is a relationship-builder. She is deeply committed to creating supportive, empowering environments where people can show up fully and authentically. Previously, she worked at the University of Minnesota Medical School on a nutrition and eating behavior research team. As a community health worker, she partnered with families across the metro area, advocating for, navigating, and supporting sustainable behavior change around nutrition and social dynamics in the home. She has also facilitated educational programming for K–12 students and adult English learners in urban gardens, where she witnessed firsthand how connection to land fosters belonging, cultural pride and collective growth.

In her after-hours adventures, you can find Mraz sewing, scouting new rollerblading paths, browsing local thrift markets or rewatching La Casa de Papel!
