Background & Expertise

Sarah Anderson is a research assistant at the Institute on the Environment, supporting the Midwest Climate Adaptation Science Center (MW CASC). She has experience working locally at an environmental education NGO in Minneapolis, abroad in the Netherlands at Naturalis Biodiversity Center, and in the field at Cedar Creek Ecosystem Science Reserve. Through these roles, she’s built skills in project coordination, partnership building and grant writing. She holds BAs in biology and environmental studies from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota and an MPS in horticulture, with an emphasis in local food production and systems, from the University of Minnesota. 

In her free time, she enjoys traveling, arts and crafts, running, biking and gardening.
