Conference Overview

Climate change is upon us, but not all of its impacts will affect people equally. The goal of this two-day conference hosted by the Office of Sustainability and the Institute on the Environment – Duluth is to initiate conversations between our keynote speaker, August Ball (Cream City Conservation), UMD faculty, students, and Duluth community members to identify and discuss solutions to the adverse social, economic, public health, and environmental issues related to climate change that disproportionately affect low-income communities, people of color, indigenous people, people with disabilities, very young and old people, and women.
