Neil Wilmot

Neil A. Wilmot is an associate professor and head of the Department of Economics & Health Care Management, Labovitz School of Business and Economics, at the University of Minnesota Duluth, and an associate of the Institute on the Environment. He received his PhD in economics from the University of Wyoming, after the completion of a master’s degree from Lakehead University. Wilmot's research interests include energy economics, energy commodities, stochastic processes and applied econometrics. In the energy field, Wilmot’s research focuses on a wide range of topics including oil and gas markets, renewable energy integration and energy pricing mechanisms. Current research centers around investigating the relationships among key energy commodities and the interconnectedness of energy markets. He has published numerous articles in leading energy economics journals including Energy Economics, Resource and Energy Economics and The Energy Journal.
