Weiguo Xie, PhD, is a professor of chemical engineering at the University of Minnesota Duluth. He was awarded his PhD in 2002 at the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology in the United Kingdom. His expertise is in mathematical modelling, simulation, optimization, measurement, and control in chemical engineering and minerals processing. He is a fellow of the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) in the U.K, a senior member of American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) and a member of Society for Mining Metallurgy & Exploration (SME).
