Wenqing Zhang is an associate professor of operations and supply chain management at the Labovitz School of Business and Economics at the University of Minnesota Duluth. He is the inaugural Kjell R. Knudsen Faculty Fellow for Innovation and serves as coordinator of the Labovitz Leadership Academy. Zhang earned his PhD in management science/operations management from McGill University in 2012. His research focuses on responsible operations and supply chain management, improving access to essential resources in underserved communities, mechanism design, game-theoretical modeling, prescriptive analytics and simulation. His scholarship includes publications in journals such as European Journal of Operational Research, Transportation Research Part E, and Computers & Industrial Engineering. He teaches courses in optimization, supply chain management, operations, project management and business analytics.
