Background & Expertise
Xue Feng is an associate professor in the Department of Civil, Environmental and Geo-Engineering. Feng's research focuses on how water shapes ecosystem response to climate change and uses this knowledge to advance watershed and Earth system modeling. She uses a range of statistical, computational and field-based methods to analyze climate variability and model the nonlinear dynamics within the soil–plant–atmosphere continuum. Her work takes place in a wide range of settings, including forests, urban watersheds and peatlands.
