Come join us for trivia and activities, fun prizes and engaging conversations about research, innovation and how students can get involved.
History
Starting in 2009, the Institute on the Environment opened its doors to more than 6,000 incoming University of Minnesota first-year and transfer students, who have the opportunity to connect with student groups, community organizations, and University Services working toward sustainable lifestyles, communities and more. Presented by Sustainability Education and the University's Office of Sustainability, this one-day open house is part of the University of Minnesota Welcome Week festivities. Since 2021, the event moved to the East Bank campus.
