Electrolysis-based hydrogen and ammonia could serve as the centerpiece for a sustainable agriculture and energy framework driven by and for rural communities. However, we do not know what electrolysis-based green hydrogen and ammonia facilities would look like in Minnesota and the Upper Midwest.
