Background & Expertise

Susanna Gibbons is the Managing Director of Funds Enterprise at the Carlson School of Management. She has more than 40 years of investment experience in multiple asset classes – equities, alternatives and fixed income; and multiple roles – research & analysis, portfolio management, asset allocation and education. She served on the Investment Advisory Council for the Minnesota State Board of Investments for seven years, the investment committee for the Girl Scouts River Valleys as chair and member, and is currently on the investment committee for the St. Paul Minnesota Foundation. She is a fellow and member of the Faculty Leadership Advisory Council with the Institute on the Environment at the University of Minnesota, exploring the integration of environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles into investment decision making. She earned an MBA in finance from the NYU Stern School of Business, an undergraduate degree in psychology from Bryn Mawr College and is a chartered financial analyst.
